  • Daily Living Assistance: Helps with bathing, grooming, feeding, dressing, and mobility.
  • Specialized Services: Provides terminal care, post-surgical recovery, dementia support, and companionship.
  • Coordination and Communication: Liaises with providers, updates family, and keeps care records.

Excluded service in Nursing

  • Diagnose Illnesses: Nurses can assess the illness but they can not Diagnose Medical Conditions. This is done by doctors.
  • Prescribe Medications: Most nurses cannot prescribe drugs
  • Perform Surgeries: They assist but do not conduct surgeries.
  • Do Complex Medical Treatments: Specialized doctors handle these.
  • Make Administrative Decisions: This is for hospital management.
  • Give Legal or Financial Advice: Outside their scope.
  • Provide Psychotherapy: Done by psychologists or psychiatrists.
  • Perform Unlicensed Tasks: They stick to their licensed scope.
  • Handle Personal Errands: Focus on healthcare tasks only.
  • Supervise Non-Medical Staff: Not their responsibility.
